From a creative background Veronica fell in love with jewellery making during a year in Florence studying at Alchimia Jewellery School. Working with precious metal and gemstones opened up a whole world of new and exciting experiences. Veronica found the focus and dexterity required for jewellery making fed her creative soul. So started her on a path of craftsmanship and the ultimate joy of showcasing beautiful jewels with precious metals.
The visuals of where Veronica lives plays a large role in her creative process. Mixed with jewellery influences from ancient civilisations her work evokes a sense of feminine simplicity. Veronica carefully selects every precious jewel she uses in her pieces. They are chosen because of their colour, shape and special inclusions. Veronica feels a connection is made the instant a client chooses a piece of her jewellery. “You can see the warmth and happiness on a clients face when a piece feels right.” “It is a magic and beautiful connection and I feel honoured to be a small part of it.”
18 carat gold
Veronica is passionate about investing in lifetime jewellery. Jewellery handed down from mother to daughter or son is imbibed with huge sentimental value. If the jewellery is of quality it will last the test of time and carries with it the memories of generations past. Jewellery requires occasional checkups but quality materials such as 18 carat gold and precious gemstones are there for the next generation. All the gold Veronica uses is recycled and the precious stones are sourced through stone dealers who she has built up a long standing relationship with.
There are now a lot of options for different carat golds and also huge amounts of gold-plated jewellery. Veronica uses solid 18 carat gold because of its naturally rich warm colour and longevity. Gold plating wears off. Once it has gone it must be re- plated and again the gold will disappear. What better way is there to pass on a treasured jewel encased in beautiful solid gold.
